A project for Paris 2024 Olympics Breakdancing launch, inspired by Paris Art Nouveau aesthetic and the roots of street dance.

Art Nouveau movement is embedded in the idea of Parisian aesthetic, from its metro station to an incredibly rich architecture/crafts and graphic heritage. The total art had a vision of creating a completely new art form and aesthetic expression which led to criticism at the time. Breakdancing was also born from a place of creating something new, with an emphasis on movement, creativity and energy - and it took time for it to be seen at the same level as other aclaimed dance styles. This print is inspired by Art nouveau curves, asymmetry, visualisation of movement in dancing notes and one of the four elements of hip-hop, graffiti.
